“Defino partilha do sensível o sistema de evidências sensíveis que revela, ao mesmo tempo, a existência de um comum e dos recortes que nele definem lugares e partes respectivas. Uma partilha do sensível fixa portanto, ao mesmo tempo, um comum partilhado e partes exclusivas. Essa repartição das partes e dos lugares se funda numa partilha de espaços, tempos e tipos de atividade que determina propriamente a maneira como um comum se presta à participação e como uns e outros tomam parte nessa partilha” (Jacques Rancière, A Partilha do Sensível: Estética e Política, p. 15).
O Projeto MANUTENÇÃO DIMENTI é patrocinado pelo Programa Petrobrás Cultural – Manutenção a Grupos e Companhias. Com duração de dois anos, o projeto complexifica o modo de funcionamento do grupo, acentuando a multiplicidade poética, a flexibilidade dos processos artísticos e a mobilização dos desejos e iniciativas pessoais.
Como é possível criar tensões produtivas entre ações grupais e individuais, num processo de partilhas autônomas? Como uma pesquisa de linguagem desenvolvida grupalmente repercute em cada um dos agentes envolvidos numa rede coletiva e numa dimensão particular?
No primeiro ano, cada integrante do Dimenti, junto a colaboradores convidados, vai desenvolver um projeto individual a partir dos campos de referência e de interesse de cada um. Esse período também abarca circulação de repertório, seminários, publicação, intercâmbios artísticos e Encontros de Pesquisa em Andamento (EPA).
No ano seguinte, serão eleitos materiais, questões e procedimentos de alguns dos projetos individuais para uma elaboração coletiva que resultará em três diferentes ações artísticas feita em colaboração com três artistas da dança, da performance e do audiovisual.
“I call the distribution of the sensible the system of self-evident facts of sense perception that simultaneously discloses the experience of something in common and the delimitations that define the respective parts and positions within it. A distribution of the sensible therefore establishes at one and the same time something common that is shared and exclusive parts. This aportionment of parts and positions is based on a distribution of spaces, times, and forms of activity that determines the very manner in which something in common lends itself to participation and in what way various individuals have a part in this distribution” (Jacques Rancière, The Politics of Aesthetics: The Distribution of teh Sensible, p.12)
The project UPKEEPING DIMENTI is funded by Petrobrás Cultural’s Artistic Maintanence Programme. Over a two year period, the project will complexify the way in which Dimenti works, emphasising the group’s poetic diversity, the flexibility of its artistic projects and the development of individual ventures.
Is it possible to create productive tensions between ensemble productions and solo work, through a process of autonymous distribution? How does artistic research developed within a group context reverberate through each of the agents involved, both as members of a collective network and as individuals?
During the first year, members of Dimenti, along with guest collaborators, will each develop a solo project drawing on their own personal interests and reference points. Over this period, the members will also perform and tour works from the group’s repertory, coordinate seminars, publish written work, develop artistic exchange projects and organize showings of their works-in-process.
Over the following year, creative material, subject-matter and procedures will be chosen from selected individual projects and used as a basis for a collective group work, culminating in three separate artistic actions created in collaboration with three artists from the worlds of dance, performance and audiovisuals.
Criado em 2006, o INTERAÇÃO E CONECTIVIDADE é um espaço de encontro para a dança. Realizado pelo Dimenti, em Salvador (Bahia), o projeto favorece a criação e o intercâmbio artísticos, a reflexão teórico-crítica, a difusão de produções coreográficas e as trocas artístico-pedagógicas.
Com performances, intervenções urbanas, mostra de audiovisuais, residências artísticas, oficinas, debates, publicações o projeto reúne gente interessada em diversos modos de se pensar/produzir arte contemporânea.

HOT SITE INTERAÇÃO E CONECTIVIDADE IV
Created in 2006, Interaction and Connectivity promotes dance in Brazil. Organized by Dimenti in Salvador (Bahia), the project fosters artistic exchange and creation, as well as critical-theoretical reflection and the showing of choreographic work by professionals and workshop participants.
Featuring performances, urban interventions, audiovisual shows, artistic residencies, workshops, debates, and publications, the project brings together individuals interested in diverse ways of thinking/producing contemporary art.

O Dimenti vem realizando exposições fotográficas no decorrer de sua trajetória. São elas: O Dimenti em Exposição (1999), exposição fotográfica de Matheus Rocha, a partir de Chá de Cogumelo; Tubo de Imagens (2001), exposição fotográfica de Matheus Rocha, inspirada em A Novela do Murro; Exposição Itinerante (2005), que trouxe objetos cênicos representativos da história do grupo e fotos de profissionais variados numa instalação criada pelo artista plástico Igor Souza; Exposição Dimenti 10 Anos, que reuniu fotos dos trabalhos do grupo ao longo de uma década.
PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION
Dimenti has been the focus of a series of photographic exhibitions over the years. They include: Dimenti on Show(1999), by Matheus Rocha, drawing on a series of photos of Mushroom Tea; Image Tube (2001), a photographic exhibition by Mateus Rocha, inspired by Carry on – The soap opera; Travelling Exhibition (2005), which featured scenic objects that represented different phases of the group’s work, alongside photos taken by a number of professionals, grouped together in an installation created by artist Igor Souza; Exhibition Dimenti 10 Year Anniversary, which featured photos of the work produced by the group over the course of a decade.
O Dimenti possui dois cds lançados: SongBook 1, CD com a trilha original dos primeiros espetáculos do grupo (2001) e o CD Pool Ball, com a trilha sonora do espetáculo musical Pool Ball (2005). O Dimenti possui uma versão em DVD de seus trabalhos cênicos, que trazem legendas, fotos, textos, trailers e outros materiais.

Dimenti have launched two Cds: SongBook 1, a CD featuring the original soundtracks of the group’s initial productions (2001) and Pool Ball, the soundtrack to the musical Pool Ball (2205). Dimenti have produced a DVD-set of their performances, which include subtitles, photos, texts, trailers and other material.

O documentário Dimenti – Cenas e Juras de Guardanapo está vinculado ao livro homônimo e traz imagens dos trabalhos, bastidores e depoimentos dos integrantes do grupo e de outros artistas e teóricos. Dirigido por Amadeu Alban, o documentário traça uma estreita relação entre as esferas profissional e afetiva do grupo.
Cena, Expansão e Documento
Através do Prêmio Caravana Funarte de Circulação Nacional 2007, o projeto CENA, EXPANSÃO E DOCUMENTO realizou e registrou a circulação de peças do repertório do Dimenti e diversas atividades nas cidades de São Paulo (SP), Teresina (PI), São Luís (MA) e Belo Horizonte (MG).
DIMENTI – SCENES AND VOWS ON A NAPKIN
The documentary Dimenti – Scenes and Vows on a Napkin draws on the book of the same name and includes photos of the group’s work, backstage stories and intervews by the group members along with other artists and theoreticians. Directed by Amadeu Alban, the documentary reveals the direct relation between the group members personal and professional lives.
STAGE, EXPANSION AND DOCUMENT
Thanks to the Caravana Funarte Award’s National Tour Grant 2007, the project STAGE, EXPANSION AND DOCUMENT documented the group’s repertory performances and other activities in the cities of São Paulo (SP), Teresina (PI), São Luís (MA) and Belo Horizonte (MG).
